• Taylor Strout- President

    Taylor Strout is the Owner and Co-founder of Rugged Seas and a Commercial Fisherman out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Taylor grew up the son of a lifelong fishermen and followed his father’s footsteps protecting and promoting the industry. His primary focus now is raising his kids and advocating for our fishing communities and the way of life which has given him everything he has today.

  • Nikki Strout- Vice-chair

    Nikki Strout is the Owner and Co-founder of Rugged Seas and a Nurse Practitioner by trade. After many years working in orthopedic medicine, she left her position to start Rugged Seas with her husband to help tell the fishermen’s story. As a fishing family, our coastal communities come first and Nikkis focus now is to educate and highlight the importance the fishing industry is to preserve what generational families have built.

  • Curt Brown- Secretary

    Curt Brown is a Marine Biologist at Ready Seafood and a Commercial Fisherman from Maine. Curt grew up lobstering and continues to lobster off the coast of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. At Ready Seafood, Curt’s focus is on collaborative research projects improving the sustainability and value of Maine lobster.

    Bob Leger- Treasurer

    Bob Leger is a proud Mainer and passionate about protecting the fishing industry and actively support our fishing families for the health and viability of our working waterfront. Bob volunteers as a Board Member of the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, the Scarborough Community Thanksgiving, and 1% For the Fishermen and is the Chief Financial Officer of Workers Credit Union. Bob lives in Scarborough, Maine and loves spending time with his three children in nature on the water or in the mountains as often as possible.
